The birth control pill prevents a pregnancy by preventing ovulation because without ovulating, you cannot get pregnant. so if you are on the birth control pill , the first step in trying to get pregnant is to stop taking the pill.. I'm aware most people don't conceive after coming off the pill for a while, but that others get pregnant straight away. i just want to see how things go naturally for now, and not start trying trying (ov test, legs in air, etc).. If you're coming off the pill because you're trying to conceive, you're probably wondering just how quickly you can get pregnant.. well, in a nutshell: it's not a straightforward answer, and pretty different for everyone, but it is possible that you could get pregnant quite quickly after your last tablet..

Theoretically, you can get pregnant as soon as a couple of days after you come off the pill. if you’re trying to get pregnant, it is usually advised to wait until your first natural period (after the first withdrawal bleed) to do so.. After coming off the pill, it can take a few months for your menstrual cycle to settle down in response to your body's natural hormones. you may become fertile within a month of stopping the pill, or it may take a little longer.. The way you come off your birth control pill can also vary if you’re trying to conceive. suddenly stopping the pill in the middle of the pack isn’t a good idea, because it can alter your cycle..
