I found out i was pregnant and was so scared that i would have to try and get off my medicine. my dr told me to continue taking the xanax which was the lowest dose (.25mg) and i took it everyday throughout my entire pregnancy and i now have a happy healthy 1 year old son. my dr explained to me that my anxiety attacks and stress would be worse. Now, i am pregnant again, and my psychiatrist prescribed xanax and lithium, but wanted me to wait until after 1st trimester, due to the baby's major organs are developed at second trimester. i take 3mg a day of xanax..
